Anna has been practicing yoga since 2001 exploring various yoga schools and traditions, from Jivamukti, to Iyengar, to Kundalini, to Ashtanga. Her passion for the practice and love for movement led her to study more in depth with her vinyasa yoga teachers Stephanie Culen and Derek Beres, and in 2009 she received her first certification from Sacred Strength Earthrise Yoga in New York.
In 2014 Anna graduated from an advanced teacher training program with Schuyler Grant of Kula Yoga Project.
For Anna, a dynamic yoga practice and teaching is complemented by a healing and meditative practice of Thai Yoga. Since her encounter with Thai massage (Nuad Phaen Boran) in 2011, her love for this ancient healing art flourished. Anna has been fortunate to study with Al Turner in New York and received her Level I and II certification in Thai Yoga in 2012. In spring 2015 she pursued further knowledge of Thai bodywork and completed additional courses at Sunshine Massage School in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
Anna believes that yoga is a powerful means of self-realization and self-expression, where discipline is welded with freedom. Her classes are infused with creative movement, conscious breath, and playfulness that go hand-in-hand with proper alignment. Anna finds a graceful way to interweave her interest in dance, music and Thai massage into her yoga teaching.
Restorative Yoga and Reiki practices brought Anna a higher perception of the subtle energies of the human body and of the universe. The therapeutic benefits of both are enormous and Anna welcomes her students to explore them together with her.
Anna continues to be a devoted student of Yoga and Thai and is endlessly grateful to all the teachers, past and present, who never cease to challenge, inspire, empower and enlighten her.
Originally from Russia, Anna travels and teaches internationally. After having lived in the US, Middle East and Asia, she is currently based in Europe and divides her time between Poland and Greece.
